EXHIBITION IN TAIPEI

I decided to change my topic to include a broader range of artwork, by focusing on the culture and behaviors surrounding art museum etiquette. I found, while interesting, photography exhibits often included other forms of artwork; including paintings, videos, audio recordings, and sculptures. By choosing a broader topic I am able to look at the broader messages and themes through entire art exhibits rather then limiting myself to a singular art form. While doing my research I also found that the museums and galleries function differently than I have found in North America. Some of those differences include opening times and schedules, price changes, as well as other such general policies. Noticing this has led to my inclusion of museum management in my topic as well. 

 My initial vlog was more research based than I hope my later vlogs will be, mostly due to my available time to get footage. Due to the high pace of my time here in Taipei, I realize I will have to be more selective about how I am spending my time and what I am trying to capture in my footage. With that in mind, I will have to significantly plan my film times in order to meet due dates while also creating content I am satisfied with. 

I also had problems finding the appropriate editing software in order to edit my videos. While I did find one satisfactory enough to produce my first vlog, I plan to look into other kinds of software as well. To do this I will go to other students and compare to see what they thought of their software in comparison to mine. While not unsatisfied with my quality I do hope to improve it over the course of this project. 

Due to the size and prominence of the museums I plan to visit, I may have difficulty filming or taking photographs. So, it is important to me to check before hand in order to make the most of my available time. I have enlisted help in order to know definitively whether there will be any restrictions to my filming at any of my choice destinations. This will not only prevent wasted time, but also allow me to make other arrangements if I am unable to follow through on my initial plans. 

I am most looking forward to going to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum because of their designated Museum Learning Day. I think that will create an interesting dynamic not common to art museums in North America. Due to the day of the week this program runs I do anticipate having to schedule aside time specifically in order to make content for my vlogs. While that does present a challenge, it is easily overcome by maintaining good time management skills and remembering to make plans ahead of time. Allowing others, such as teachers, to help me on my project, will ensure that I will keep up with my rigorous schedule and consistently make time for my plans. 

我觉得摄影很有意思。可是艺术品比摄影很有意思了。 我觉得艺术品很好看。所以我想去美术馆看都艺术品。因为我在美术馆不知道能不能做照片， 所以我问我的老师帮我。我下个周末去一八三九看艺术品。下个周末以后我去Taipei Fine Arts Museum 看艺术品。我一个年没去美术馆了， 所以我去美术馆很高兴。
