VLOG 3

我的第三个 vlog 很好玩，而且很有意思，是因为我去过诊所。我看看王老师的妹妹，Scarlett, 坐Botox，而且跟医生聊天。 我最喜欢跟Scarlett 聊天，是因为她知道的社会规范。也医生很聪明，是因为他知道很多信息，可是他很谦逊,而且很风度翩翩 （feng1du4 pian1 pian1 – personable).

I found it very interesting to see my observations at the beginning of the project develop into something less precise and into a more relevant focus. At first, it made me quite sad to discover the societal and familial pressures impacting women in Taiwanese society. However, it also made it much more interesting to find out that many individuals do not look at aesthetic things as way to portray what they want other people to think. Instead it was about how a person portrays their own individuality and their self into a kind person. This was a shock to me because my initial assumption was directed towards a more cynical point of view. 

As a result, I’ve learned from this experience is to appreciate in all shapes and forms. After spending six weeks in Taiwan, I truly believe Taiwanese people and culture are so kind and motivated to look through optimistic lenses.
