Journal 1: The Legality of Graffiti on the streets of Taipei/ Graffiti around NTNU, what is legal and what is illegal, could try to talk to the police station about the tags around the neighborhood. Why is there so much graffiti? I see it everywhere, on the streets, in the bathrooms, signs, walls. Public and private spaces.
Journal 2: Public Graffiti (Ximending)
Journal 3: Graffiti/ tag artist profile
-I would like to be able to interview a group or a person who is tagging the streets around the school
I’ve hardly noticed any significant graffiti in the cities I have traveled around China and would like to try to compare the two Asian countries.
I think I will be making observations on the various kinds of graffiti I see on the streets, hopefully able to meet up with someone doing it. Find out who is doing it.
REFLECTIONS
I received some help from a friend who showed me around and told me about Ximending, the biggest spot for graffiti in Taipei. My friend showed me the big murals spots where the pros get to paint.
